Day 7 – Manhattan shopping & the Lady Bunny

Today, we took in Manhattan's department store shopping, and then got a chance to see one of NYC's most famous (but don't dare say oldest) drag queens.

Our day started with a visit to the flagship Macy's store at 7th Avenue & 34th Street. The 2.2 million square-foot store was built in 1902, and was the first building in the world to use modern escalators. You can still use the original wooden escalators!

In the afternoon, we checked out a couple amazing antique stores downtown (PippinThe Family Jewels), and then zipped back up to 65th Street to shop at another great department store called Century 21. Great Memorial Day deals!

On our last night in NYC, we grabbed dinner with a friend at The Liberty NYC (highly recommended), and then checked out drag icon Lady Bunny's outrageous comedy show Clown Syndrome at Escuelita Night Club. As fate would have it, we were seated about 10 feet away from Debbie Harry, the lead singer of Blondie. #starstruck

And that was the day! Not a lot of photos, but it was a great one.
