Day 1 – Getting settled: Lincoln Center & the Upper West Side

Today, we arrived in the heart of Manhattan after a quick journey from Newark International Airport. We got settled on the Upper West Side and started our exploration of the Big Apple.

Day 2 – The Daily Show & Bianca del Rio

Today, we got to experience a bit of NYC's famed entertainment industry, with seats at a live taping of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. The evening ended with an unexpected brush with America's Next Drag Superstar...

Day 3 – Union Square & AIGA

Friday found us in the Union Square district, where we took in an excellent type exhibit and NYC's biggest bookstore.

Day 4 – Brooklyn Flea, Chelsea Antique Market & Times Square

Our weekend started by jumping on the ⓒ train all the way to New York's southeast-most borough, Brooklyn.

Day 5 – High Line Park, West Village, & Statue of Liberty

Sunday seemed like a perfect day to explore High Line Park, and get a glimpse of Lady Liberty herself. Staten Island Ferry, here we come!

Day 6 – Midtown marvels & the Brooklyn Bridge

Monday was our busiest day ever. On our third last day, we decided to do an epic walking tour of the major landmarks in Midtown, and then cap our day off with a stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Day 7 – Manhattan shopping & the Lady Bunny

Today, we took in Manhattan's department store shopping, and then got a chance to see one of NYC's most famous (but don't dare say oldest) drag queens.

Day 8 – Goodbye, NYC

Today was our last day in NYC, and it was sad day indeed. New York has been so kind to us over the last 8 days, so it was a bittersweet moment to get on the train back to Newark International Airport. One week was hardly enough time to see the whole city, so we will be back very soon.
